What you do matters.  Everything.   The big stuff.  The little stuff.  Even the annoying stuff. It all matters and its all a part of that thing we call karma…

It matters that you waste time. It matters that you blame others for your failures.

It matters because your destiny matters.  And karma is the pathway that takes you there… What does this even mean?

What is Karma?

Karma is the fact that our actions lead to our destiny.  That sooner or later what we do (who we really are) pushes us toward our ultimate destiny.

It’s understanding that getting up earlier means you have more time to conquer the world. It’s easy to say that working hard is important.  But that’s not karmic.  It’s effort. Karma also attaches to actions rather than ideas. Karma is quite literally ‘you at work’,  building the destiny that you put in the effort for and to realize.

Why is Karma so crucial?

If you only get the destiny that you design, what you design is pretty important.

correct? This is not a premise you want to mess up.  If there is a list of things to not mess up, “destiny creation” has to be high on that list. The importance of karma is in understanding the outcome of individual decisions.

Decisions to be honest.  Decisions to be creative.  Decisions to change the world. These decisions that we make  build our future, alter the course of our lives.

How to Start Changing your Karma

You start by believing that you matter.  That you matter and what you do matters.

By believing that what you do now changes the possibilities for the future.

It’s a mindset.

  • Choose to be positive when things are overwhelming.
  • Fighting to win even when you just got knocked down.
  • Being honest even when it means you feel embarrassed.
  • Taking the time to learn new skills, new talents, new ideas
  • Investing in personal inspiration instead of letting anxiety drive your decisions.
  • Being 100% Authentically You!
  • Doing the above Karma Steps creates this –
  • Out of the Box solutions that no one else sees.
  • Succeed more often.
  • Trusting yourself when one else thinks you can do it.
  • Being more flexible, transparent, and personal than your competitors.
  • Realizing your dreams — when you would have ordinarily given up.

How To Think Like A Winner

Everyone wants to be a winner. Thats a given. However, when you look at the majority, most people are living ordinarily and only a few are living their dreams and win big in life.

While there is nothing wrong with living an ordinary life like most people d0, this feature from Mr Mia is not meant for those people in that category. This is written for those who want to achieve outstanding success and win big in life.

If you think you are a winner and you wanted to win in life, you’ve landed on the right post. You must first decide and say that you want to be a winner before you can be one.

“The first thing is you have to say that you can.” – Will Smith

Sadly, most people never made the decision to be the best. They just live life as it is. They take whatever that comes to them and take it as it is. They have never thought of changing for the better and they have never really wanted to win.

Sadly, this happens to many people out there. We all know that we want to achieve great success and we have the potential and ability to accomplish great results. We try to take action and keep the positive expectation in us. However, somewhere along the journey, something goes wrong. We do not achieve the results even after we try. We did not win even after we tried to be as positive as possible.

The truth is, how long have we been trying and how committed are we toward our dream? Most people tried a few days and some tried out for a few weeks. Some tried for many years but they never learn to improve their skills and master their crafts.

Winning is not easy and living your dreams are challenging. This is why so few of us actually made it to the top. But that does not mean that it is not possible for you and me. In fact, anyone can be successful if they wanted to. Anyone can become a big winner and live their dreams if they choose to.

The question is, how do you do it? And THAT is what this feature is meant for.

If you want to be a winner, start by adopting these winner mindsets. Start by changing and challenging your thoughts, and think like a winner. When you think like a winner, you will act like a winner. And when you act like a winner, you will get the results of a winner. Your thinking will shape your life. You become who you think about most of the time.

So think like a winner to be a winner. Here are the top 10 thinking that will transform you into a winner, and in our upcoming blog post, we delve deeper into each and every one…

  1. Think Like A Sportsman

Have you ever seen an athlete competing in the Olympic Games? Regardless of what sport it is, every one of them is extremely committed and excited about the game. These athletes have prepared themselves for years just to perform and compete for a short few minutes.

So what makes these great people able to hold on and perform to win? They have a big dream and they are willing to die for their dream. What about you? What is your dream? Do you have a dream? Your dream will ignite the winner in you. Your dream will give you the energy and the motivation to get up early and stay later and work harder than anyone else.

Your dream can be anything that you are passionate about.

Maybe you want to buy a home for your parents? Maybe you want to go on a destination vacation or maybe you want to grow a thriving business? Whatever it is, your dream must be big and your dream must be something that will excite you when you think about it.

Stop being vague and unclear about what you want out of life.

When you ask most adults what do they want to achieve in life, they will tell you that they want to be rich or they want to be happy. These are not dreams but vague wishes that are not specific.

The more specific you are with what you want, the more potential power your dreams can give you.

You have to decide right now what it is you want to accomplish in life. And you have to be serious with it. Once you have written down your dreams, and that’s it, it has been decided and those are the things that you want. Tell yourself that you will never settle for less and you will do whatever you can to achieve them.

  1. There Are No Days Off

Being a winner is not an easy task. It takes a lot of hard work and a lot of dedication to be a winner. Extraordinary people are able to achieve amazing success because they are willing to work harder than ordinary people.

There is no gain without pain. Everything comes with a price. If you want to win big in business, you must learn and master the art of building your business. You may have to wake up early, work harder and stay later than most people. You may have to sacrifice your weekends for work. You may want to cut off your leisure time and stop watching TV or stop spending time mindlessly on Facebook. Whatever you do, you will have to choose one over the other. And your choice will determine if you are going to be a winner or a loser in life.

Do you know that Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO started his work as early as 4.30am? Do you know that Richard Branson wakes up at 5am most days to prepare himself for business?

What about you? What do you do most of the time? Do you wake up early to work on your dreams? Or do you continue to sleep on your bed and dream your dreams? Successful people seldom take a day off. This may be hard to swallow, but it is a cold-hard truth that you must accept.

“I never took a day off in my twenties. Not one. And I’m still fanatical, but now I’m a little less fanatical.” – Bill Gates

Why do you think Bill Gates becomes the richest person? He said that he never took a day off when he was young, building and growing Microsoft. Most extraordinary people are the same. Steve Jobs never really take off days. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo train most weekends. Michael Jackson danced to perfect his dancing skill almost every day. Phil Jackson, one of the coaches for Michael Jordan said that every morning when he reached the basketball court, Michael was already there, training hard.

While we aren’t saying that you should not take a day off. Or you should not go and have fun. You have to understand that remarkable people treated their work and their business as their game. They love to do it and they are excited about it. They look forward to doing it and that is why they have all the energy to do it.

Understand that everything comes with a price, so do your dreams. And decide right now if you are going to be 100% committed to paying the price for your dreams.

You may want to reschedule your calendar and work harder for what you believed in. And you may want to share your dreams with your partners and people who care about you so that they will understand and hopefully, support your ‘craziness’.

Normal people will never understand why successful people are so obsessed with their work. And you have to ignore the naysayers.

  1. Start The Effect

Every big thing once started small. Rome was not built in a day and Richard Branson did not become an overnight success. It takes time to achieve what you want and to be extraordinary. That is why it is difficult and challenging. The majority will give up somewhere along the journey. They will quit faster than you imagine.

One very important key you must understand about creating success in whatever you do is this:

‘Success is about taking one step at a time and doing it over long period.’

Most people get it wrong and think that in order for them to be successful; they must do that one big thing. They think that success will come with just one shot. They just need to make one decision and take one bold action, things will come to them.

This is not true at all. Success starts small and it is all about getting the small things done to be able to achieve the greater things in the future.

Success is about taking the one first step, be it calling that one person, writing that one article, preparing for that one presentation. The same goes for failure. The ultimate failure will come when you fail to make that one call, fail to take that one small step, fail to say ‘Thank you’, fail to ask questions, and fail to follow through and prepare.

Its the small things that when added up and accumulated, give you the ultimate result you want. Therefore, what you do every day is more important than what you do once in a while.

This is where the Domino Effect comes in. Life and success are like domino’s lined up in front of you. When you push one down, it will hit the second one and the second one will fall and hit the third one. And on and on it goes. If you want to make all the domino’s fall, there is just one thing you need to do, focus on pushing the first one to fall.

It is the same in life. All you need to do to make it all work is to focus on taking just one small step that will get you where you want to go each day. After you take the first step, the second step will automatically unveil and you will know what to do next.

  1. Keep Your Desire Burning

Do you know why most people give up and quit? The answer is simple; they let their desire diminish and eventually forget about their dreams and their goals. If you are serious about achieving your goals and becoming a winner, you must do whatever it takes to keep the momentum going.

You will always be very focused and motivated when you first start out, however, as time goes by, your motivation will go diminish and if you are not doing anything to keep yourself motivated, eventually you will want to quit and give up.

Just keep moving forward. You have to keep yourself moving in order to stay in the action. Just like a train, when it stops and stays stagnant, it takes a lot of energy to make it move again. However, once its moving, it will be very difficult to stop.

It is the same premise for building a habit. How do you build a new habit? You have to repeat the habit over and over again until it becomes second nature to you. So in order to stay motivated, you must keep yourself moving every single day.

  1. Go The Extra Mile

Michael Jordan trained harder than the rest of his team, and that is why he became one of the best basketball players of all time. What about you? Are you going to do the extra mile?

When we talk about going the extra mile, the first thing that you need to do is to dedicate to do more than other people. Next, you need to deliver more value than others. You must do and perform better than you are expected to. This is how a winner is made.

You will surprise people with this ethic and your value will be  appreciated more when you over deliver. There is only one way to get to the top, and that is to constantly do more than yourself and others expect.

  1. Your Purpose Is To Win

If your purpose is not to win, why do you take part in the competition in the first place? This is exactly what most people do in their life. They try out something, but they did not expect to win and that is why they did not do their best.

The majority of people are working because of the monthly income that they get from their work, not because that they wanted to do something extraordinary.

Most people have lost their passion and meaning for their work.

They have the thinking that they need a job so that they can pay their bills. While there is nothing wrong with just holding a job, is this what you really want?

You must expect to win, in your work, in your relationship, emotionally, in your career, in your business, and in your life. Don’t just go to work because of salary. Go to work because you know there are something bigger waiting for you, something that is calling you over and something that will fulfill your destiny.

Always remember your purpose. Why you do what you do. And remember, your purpose is to win.

  1. Mastering The Art

Why do you think successful people read a lot of books? When you read books, you are consciously directing your mind to think about what you want. When you read a business book, you are forcing information about business into your head. This will build the intention inside your head. And when you have the intention, there is a higher probability you will feel emotional about it and take action on it.

This is why reading is so important because it keeps your motivation up and gives you insightful ideas to incorporate into your life. No wonder most leaders are voracious readers. Elon Musk, finished the entire shelves of books and he even read the encyclopedia.

So, if you want to be a winner in what you do, you must master the arts of your work. You must become the best in what you do. To become the expert in what you do, you must commit to constant learning every single day.

  1. Trust Your Potential

In order to be a winner in life, you must always trust yourself and your potential. Do you know that the biggest failure in life is not that you failed in your relationship or you failed in your business, but the biggest failure in life is that you fail to believe in yourself?

Successful people trust their judgments and they believe in themselves. When you believe in yourself, you will do your best because you know there is a possibility to win.

When you believe that you can do it and you can win, you will then tap into your potential and start to make it work. So trust your potential and believe you are capable. Seriously, if you do not believe in yourself and your dreams, who else would?

So how do you believe in yourself? The answer is simple, you take action. Even if it is just one small step, you need to do it. You will only take action when you believe in something. So just do it.

  1. Be Extraordinary

When it comes to winning, you must be unique and special. You must believe in your own way and your own thinking. You are authentic and there is no need for you to follow others and do what others tell you to do.

After all, this is your life and you get to choose what to do with it. No one is pointing a gun to your head telling you what to do.

So stop listening to the naysayers. Stop believing in those people who tell you it is impossible. Everything is possible when you believe in it.

When Arnold Schwarzenegger started his bodybuilding career, most people never thought that he could accomplish great results.  The same thing happened when he went into the acting career. People said that he had a big body and it was not suitable for acting. Some said that his name was too difficult to pronounce. Look at what he has accomplished.

You have to believe that you are extraordinary. Sometimes people may think that it is impossible for you to achieve what you want in life, but that’s totally fine because you are not them. You are special and you are unique. You do not want to live like everyone else. You want to be extraordinary and live a great life and not a mediocre one like everyone else had.

So be extraordinary and dare to do things differently.

  1. Winners Never Quit

Finally, a winner will never quit because if you quit, you can never win. You must apply this same rule in your life and business. Never give up and never quit. When the tough times come, just tell yourself that the hardships are there to grow you. It is not a bad day that you are going through; it is a character-building day.

Most people never have the perseverance to go through most of the challenges they face in their journey. Most people would quit half way. It is often said that it is a lonely view from the top, and it may be true because most people never have the perseverance to reach the top.

No matter what happens, never lose hope and sight of your dream. Protect your dream and continue to march forward. Identify your destination, take small steps to move there each day and never give up, you will eventually reach the top of the mountain.

Dream Big

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau delivered a brilliant speech to this year’s graduates from the School of Social and Political Science after receiving an honorary degree from the University of Edinburgh.

The most inspiring focus of this speech was to DREAM BIG, something which always inspires Mr Mia!

Every choice you’ve made has led you to where you are now; every choice you make now will create your future. Your choices come from your thoughts and how you perceive your place in the world. By thinking big, you will rise above your current situation and begin to create the future of your choosing.

Do you sometimes think that there is more to your life than just this? Are you sick of the same old things everyday? Do you want to live the life you desire or the life somebody else mapped out for you?

If you want to change your current situation, you need to know how to think big. This isn’t just about coming up with wacky ideas or outrageous solutions, but thinking about your life as something that is bigger than what it is right now.

Every choice you’ve made has led you to where you are now; every choice you make now will create your future. Your choices come from your thoughts and how you perceive your place in the world. By thinking big, you will rise above your current situation and begin to create the future of your choosing. Here is how you can think big and become big . . .

Dream big dreams:
Allow yourself to use your imagination to dream about the life you really want to live. There are absolutely no limits to what you can dream about in your imagination. Visualize yourself achieving great things in the future, going to places that seem improbable to reach, and see yourself as the person you want to be.

Some of the greatest human accomplishments started with a dream.  John F. Kennedy dreamt of sending people to the moon, and they did, even though most thought it was not possible. We all know Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream and his dream has allowed us to make significant strides over the last century. He certainly didn’t just say, “I have an idea!” It just wouldn’t have the same meaning, would it?

Visualize your days in advance:
Before you go to bed, sit in a quiet place and visualize what you will do tomorrow. See yourself waking up at the time you want, feeling good, and go through the day seeing yourself accomplishing each task that you are faced with.

Those who accomplish big things can see them in their minds before anybody can see it in reality. By visualizing what you want your days to look like, you know what you are aiming for, and that makes a huge difference.

Ask big questions:
If you want to learn how to think big, ask yourself big questions. Ask yourself questions that make you think about your situation and how you can change certain things. Don’t ask questions like, “Why does this have to happen to me?” Instead, ask yourself, “How can I change this?” Or, what can I learn from this? What is the opportunity in this?

If you ask questions like, “Why does this always have to happen to me?” you will be forced to answer, and it will only make you feel like more of a victim to the situation. By asking yourself constructive questions like, “What do I need to do to change this?” you are forcing yourself to come up with answers that make you think bigger than the actual situation.

Solve big problems:
To determine how big a person is, just take a look at the size of the problems they are trying to solve. If your main concerns everyday are about how bad the traffic is, or how annoying the person sitting next to you is, or how bad the weather is, then you are not thinking big. To think big, you need to tackle bigger problems, such as what you can do now to move yourself closer to your goals, or how you can improve your productivity, or how you can help somebody in need.

How big you are is determined by how big the problems you focus on are.

In order to think big, you need to be able to see through your current situation. You need to be able to focus on things that will make you expand your perspective on your life.

We hope you love these tips and the inspiring video above!

The Prime Minister was at his most inspiring when he drew on his own experiences as a graduate. He said: “If you think you have all the answers then sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you probably don’t. I used to be a bouncer in a nightclub and a snowboard instructor. The last thing I expected to be was a politician.

“There is no right path, there is only your path. Think boldly, but most importantly, don’t settle.”

He ended his speech by saying: “Let me leave you with this, if it excites you a lot and scares you a little then you should probably do it. Be bold and brave. Class of 2017, we need you. The world needs you. Be the best versions of yourselves and make us all proud.”

5 Key Principles Of Your Life

Mr Sayed Mia knows that there are 5 key principles that allow you to take charge of your life. Read them, learn from them, and enjoy the video below – it’s full of inspiration.

  1. Take Responsibility

“When you choose the behaviour, you choose the consequence” – Dr Phil

If you want anything to change in your life, you need to stop with the excuses and make it happen. Most of us are stuck in the role of the victim, blaming everything and everyone but ourselves for what is and what is not happening for us. But the truth is that our life is the result of the person that we have become. Once you’ve made the commitment to take charge of your own life, the outcome is suddenly up to you instead of someone else. And that is extremely liberating.

  1. Do Your Best

“To give of your best is to receive your best .” – Raymond Holliwell

Don’t fall into the trap of always going for least resistance just because you can. Always put in performances that you can be proud of. If you can do this in one area of your life, soon it will spill over to others. Consider yourself a person who always do your best and start acting like it. When you’re especially good at something, don’t get comfortable. Don’t be lazy when things are going well or you think little is required by you. Remember that doing your best doesn’t mean pushing yourself too hard. At times doing your best means the ability to say no and to be able to learn from situations where you feel like you didn’t give your best performance, forgive yourself and improve for next time.

  1. Be Honest

“Being honest may not get you a lot of friends, but it’ll always get you the right ones.” – Anonymous

Don’t lie to yourself. Always be in tune with what’s going on inside you. Let happy things make you happy and sad things make you sad. Don’t suppress thoughts and feelings that are trying to tell you something. If you feel like something’s wrong, don’t ignore it. Even if it’s something you don’t know how to deal with. Maybe you feel like your unhappy with your career path and don’t want to think about it. But even if you don’t know how to deal with the problem, it’s always better to acknowledge the issue than to lie to yourself and pretend that you’re not hearing what your heart and body is telling you. Always pay attention and work on solving the issues your body and mind are trying to communicate to you, even if it’s hard. As you start being honest with yourself it’ll also become easier to be honest with the people around you. When approaching others in this way, coming from an honest and sincere place, you’ll find that people will do the same for you. This way you’ll form deeper and more meaningful relationships much faster.

  1. Experiment

“Fill your life with experiences, not things. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show.” – Unknown

The more things you try, the better. Instead of getting through the day, learn to take from the day.

It’s your mission to make life as much fun and enjoyable as you can. Be dedicated in finding out what you want to do with your life and how to fill your days with the good stuff that gets you excited.

  1. Always be learning

“The world is a university and everyone in it is a teacher. Make sure when you wake up in the morning you go to school” – Bishop T.D Jakes

Be a serious student of life. Get curious about the world. Follow your excitement. If something has you intrigued, don’t let it slip. If you find something your interested in, shamelessly immerse yourself in it. It might just be your passion uncovering or something that will lead you to it. At the end of each day, make sure that you’ve learned something new.

Would you say that you’re in charge of your life? How did you get to that point? If you’re not, what’s stopping you?
