This chapter is all about understand and unlocking your greatest potential. You need to take some time to regularly “check-in” with yourself, to get clear and authentic about what you want, where you are going and how well you are doing.

Do you know where you’re going to in life; what direction you’re headed in?

When you’re in school, you are often always taught that the number one goal should be to get a good education, find a great job, and become a contributing member of society. But sometimes people don’t take their own desires or interests into account as much as you should have, and therefore your path heads into a direction that you were never really looking for to begin with.

Perhaps back then you were under the assumption that some people had a better chance at happiness and opportunity than others. Maybe you think that some who come from a more privileged background have a much better chance of living out their dreams. Some people even go so far as to think that they have to “settle” for a life they don’t want, or undercut themselves and their potential, just to be able to say they’re happy with what they have.

There are so many people who don’t fit into the mould, or what society believes to be normal. These people don’t abide by the limitations of society’s expectations, and in turn they feel marginalized and a bit lost. This confusion they are in leads many to search for answers. Ultimately, this search leads to the Law Of Attraction.

This is the moment when you can at long last conclude that achievement has nothing to do with your external circumstances and everything to do with your internal beliefs, focus and intent.

Attempting to determine your life’s greatest potential is truly an inside job. It’s about determining what you want precisely and accurately, then training your mind and emotions to direct your energies clearly toward your desires.

It would be more productive to only focus at the beginning; as to what society needs as its potential for you, and from you. Supply what is being requested from you, therefore giving you approval. Next, develop your abilities for your own purpose, through an individual quest for self-satisfaction, as opposed to spending a lifetime asking yourself whether you have satisfied what you believe your genuine potential should be, based on your original life circumstance.

Law of Attraction Quote 2

You may still find it difficult to believe that the Law of Attraction can work for you. Maybe you even find the three simple steps: Ask, Trust and Receive, too good to be true. You may even find yourself shocked that the Law is working in your life even now, and even though you are not happy with what you’ve got.

It’s okay. We’ve all been there. Here’s what Mr Mia has to say about it, “The more you are able to focus your thoughts and feelings on what you WANT…the quicker and easier it will be to attract those very things to you.

It’s a simple premise, but not always easy for people to put into practice. Think about it this way, if you have spent a lifetime focusing on worry, doubt, or false beliefs about your potential or fear of loss, it’s going to take time to retrain your brain.

This is where gratitude plays such a powerful role. As you build the mental muscles of gratitude, in time you will come to recognize how supported you truly are in life. You’ll begin to appreciate yourself on a whole new level and to see the universe as a phenomenal and friendly place to live, work and play in.

From this point on, your positive energies will be activated in such a way that more and more positive things will come your way – with far less effort. You essentially need to get yourself flowing in the right direction.

Mr Mia has, what we think is the best advice to end this off, when he says “Think about starting to have faith in yourself and your unbounded possibilities. Conceive the belief and live in the truth that you are deserving of everything you want out of life, because when you apply the Law of Attraction, EVERYTHING is possible”.

Reminiscing with Dean Nitin Nohria of Harvard University Business School

Mr Sayed Mia spent a wonderful evening reminiscing with Dean Nitin Nohria of Harvard University Business school and all alumni’s in Johannesburg at the Four Seasons Hotel.

All of the fellow alumni from across the region excitedly welcomed Dean Nitin Nohria in his first official visit to Africa.

Harvard University holds a special place in Mr Mia’s life. During the 1980’s, Sayed Mia was known in most circles for his successful insurance brokerage, as well as his philanthropic heart for charities and the needy. But the 80’s were also a time for self-learning and furthering education and that is exactly what he did by blazing a trail traveling to the United States where he furthered his studies at Harvard University.

The event, co-hosted by Harvard Business School External Relations and the HBS Club of South Africa was a great success.

The Law of Attraction says that every positive or negative occasion that has happened to you was ultimately pulled in by you. Let’s assume that a trusted friend loaned you money when you were struggling financially? You pulled in that gift, without conscious awareness that you were even applying the Law.

Now imagine a teacher, a classmate, client, or associate. Perhaps these people are causing you stress and trouble on a daily basis. As much as you don’t like to hear it, you pulled that in as well.

In both cases above, you were experiencing the Law of Attraction. You were attracting the energy that was similar to what you were putting out; either with your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, or a combination of them all. The Law of Attraction is working each second of every day and you are attracting or “pulling” you to the people, experiences and circumstances that align with your energy.

But guess what? You’ve even pulled in this series by Mr Mia! Here’s how…

The Law of Attraction includes just three simple steps – Ask, Trust, and Get.

Most people however, never develop enough ability to truly apply step two, TRUST. Because of this, the vast majority of humans continue to attract what they don’t want instead of what they are asking for.

In order to fully understand this principle, lets break it down for you, delving deeper into the three steps.

 

RELAX YOUR BRAIN

Meditating for 5 to 10 minutes every day can vastly help you calm and focus your mind so that you “ask” for what you desire in a very clear and focused way.

 

ASK WITH COMPLETE CLARITY

Keep in mind that you are emitting off a request to the universe which is created by thoughts and therefore it responds with thoughts. Know absolutely what it is that you wish before “sending” it through a complete focused thought.

If your request is unclear because you are actually focusing more on what you don’t want, or if your mind is so busy racing with worry, stress, or a “to-do” list, then your signal will be jumbled and confused. You can expect to receive the same kind of confusion in your results.

 

ASK FOR IT WITH FEELING

You don’t need to truly talk or use words to ask for what you want, but you DO need to put positive feelings into your request. In fact, for best results, you must feel the feelings you will have when you get what you want. See this thing as yours already. Then, send off this image in your mind and emotional signature to the universe. The universe will respond.

The clearer and more emotionally charged your desire is, the quicker and easier it will be to pull it to you. For example – if theres that special someone you want to meet, see yourself strolling with him, holding hands, and laughing together. Make it as real and as positive as possible in your minds eye.

COMPOSE YOUR WANT

Start with “I’m so pleased and thankful now that…” and complete the sentence by telling the universe what you are grateful for and what you desire. Form it in the present state as though you have it today. Keep away from negative terms. Every day until it manifests close your eyes and imagine your desire as if it were already with you.

 

SENSE IT

Feel the way you will feel after getting what you want. You should act, talk, and think just as if you are getting it today. This is in reality the most critical step in using the Law of Attraction. The more you can get yourself to feel as if you’re already holding what you want, the easier it will be for the Universe to deliver it to you.

 

DEMONSTRATE GRATITUDE

Record or write down all of the things the Universe has given to you already. Be grateful and thankful for what you already have and bask in appreciation for all things you have been given.

Activating the frequency of gratitude is a very powerful way to attract more positive things in your life. You can even include gratitude for discovering this information. Exhibiting appreciation will supercharge your pulling power and allows the Universe to bring your request to you quicker.

 

BELIEVE (IN) THE UNIVERSE

Try not to search for what you have invited into your life. This is where people tend to throw a spanner in the works, thus hampering the manifestation process. Remember: Step #2 is when you TRUST. If you dedicate way too much time looking, wondering, waiting and demanding, you are getting in your own way and blocking the manifestation power. If you are on alert for the results, your energy is telling the Universe “I don’t have it yet!”

This is a lack of frequency. Since we attract the energy that we are emitting, what you will get is more of not having it! In short, be patient. Release attachments to when your desires will come to you. Try not to push the “how” of matters. Let the Universe do it for you.

Your brain and your mind are not the same thing. Your brain is the physical part of your body that does the many things that keep you alive. It is also the location where you process information and store benefits, intentions, and trigger habits of thought and feeling.

But the MIND, well, the mind is the place that holds your greatest power or your ultimate downfall.  The mind as we use the term here refers to your thoughts, beliefs and emotions which tell the brain what to do, how to act and what to focus on. For example, if you believe the world is a miserable and dangerous place that holds nothing good for  you, then your mind will be sure to stay on red alert. In other words – the brain is the servant of the mind.

TAKE CONTROL

Your brain controls a large number of distinctive pieces of your life, including your body’s immune system, which is in charge of your wellbeing and health. It also controls your pattern of wakefulness and rest, whether you’ll wake up at a specific time and if you’ll have the energy or vitality to endure your daily activities. It even regulates your insight and memory, components that determine how you’ll learn and recall.

All of these systems are more negatively affected by stress factors. Stress is natural, but it can also become unnatural and unbearable when the mind focuses so much on worry that the brain goes into continual stress management mode.  If these brain capacities can be decreased in this way, it can also be increased. Increasing your brain’s capacity for handling stress is imperative, and the potential of what it might be able to fulfil in the process is endless and important.

There are many ways to increase the brain’s capacity for handling stress. The most important of these is to reduce the frequency and intensity of stress by increasing the capacity of your mind to focus on the positive and refocus on your desires rather than the obstacles that may stand between you and what you want.

Another way to increase your capacity to handle stress is through the use of audio technology. Often referred to as Brain Entrainment Technology (BET). BET uses sound and sometimes light in order to increase your brain’s capacity to handle stress. The most far reaching kind of BET uses sound and is known as Neuro-Acoustics or Psychoacoustics (mind music). It uses sound waves designed in a peculiar way to control the frequencies inside the brain.

Your brain ceaselessly emits electromagnetic streams for each activity. These electrical charges from your brain may be read when terminals are joined to your head. The signs returned are shown on a screen known as an EEG. Light and sound are energising for the cerebrum and therefore our mental activity are also affected alongside the emotions that arise from it.

Neuro-Acoustic technology incorporates music configured to entrain your brainwaves into frequencies that peak brain function. These frequencies literally pull the frequencies of your brainwaves up to a higher level of coherence.

When you add soothing music onto these frequencies, it produces an altogether mind changing experience, increasing the quantity of endorphins and other health supporting chemicals released from your brain. These are the chemicals which have demonstrated an ability to moderate the ageing process and expand wellbeing.

By reducing stress in the brain using the various techniques above, we create mental space in order to change our subconscious thought patterns. In changing subconscious thought patterns, the real work of the Law of Attraction begins. Once you begin to change the way your mind thinks and focuses, it will support the capacity to gain knowledge, solve problems more creatively, expand your intuition, help you focus and surprisingly propel you to even greater self-awareness. Ultimately, this creates what brain researchers refer to as “total brain usage”.

Think about the power and potential that’s possible for you if you could get both your mind and your brain working in harmony with your ultimate dreams and goals. You’d be, in some sense, unstoppable! It would be similar to changing to TV channel from a newscast a dramatic tragedy to a channel focused on love, health, optimism  and positive thoughts and outcomes. By shifting our mind sets in this way, we can shift our negative states of being; pain, depression, anger and fear to wellness, trust, affection, clarity and intuition.

The good news? You can change all of this without the use of complicated technology. There are so many YouTube audio clips that entrain the brain for free. We will insert one for you in the next post! Now when it comes to changing the mind, this requires more active participation, patience, commitment and intention. Think about this for a second – if you have spent years, even decades, creating a pattern in your brain which is focused solely on negativity, stress and fear; it’s going to take time to rewire your thinking and your brain.

It can be done. Mr Mia is living proof of the thousands of others who have changed the course of their lives by bringing awareness to their subconscious patterns and then literally changing their mind to work consciously with the Law of Attraction.

Controlling your mind is best done through conscious awareness of your thoughts, a consistent practice of meditation, a willingness to make emotionally and physically healthy lifestyle choices, and by tapping into the greater capacity of your subconscious mind through things like hypnosis or self-hypnosis.

Changing your life begins when you change your mind. Changing your mind can only happen when you take 100% full and complete responsibility for your life and circumstances.  By taking this level of responsibility, you are giving yourself permission to look honestly at your life: What is working, but more importantly, what isn’t. Only then can you gain access to your subconscious thoughts, negative beliefs and habits of emotion which keep you locked into an energy pattern that isn’t attracting what you want.

Mr Mia wants you to achieve this important level of awareness, because once you change your mind, you literally change you life!
