Sayed Hoosen Mia is a man whose life and acumen is based solely on the utmost of character and integrity. He is a man whose word is his bond, which in the world of today, is few and far between. This is how Sayed Mia conducts his life, and how he has attained a level of success that few have been able to reach. He gives just as much as he receives and perhaps that’s the greatest lesson of all. That with great influence comes great responsibilities – and on this Sayed Mia continues to fulfill his life’s greatest responsibilities – to be a good man and father, a kind man, a generous man.
His success is rooted in passion, family and most importantly – generosity. He believes that every successful person must repeat certain affirmations each and every day in order to achieve what they most desire from life.
These are a few of his favourites –
“I can’t do everything today, but I can take one small step.”
We are all reaching for something. We have plans, we have goals; some of us have a life plan – things we want to have achieved at certain times in our lives. The important thing to remember is that only the doers achieve. The first step will always be the hardest, but at the end of the day, it will be the sweetest.
“I will do what no one else is willing to do.”
Often times, the most successful are the people willing to do what nobody has done before. They are the dreamers, the thinkers, the doers. They are brave and they keep going until they’ve reached their goal.
“I will not care what other people think.”
We give such thought to what other people think that it overshadows how we see ourselves. You have to seperate people in your life into different groups of people. The ones you hold in the highest regards and who know and love you and support you unconditionally – those are the people whose opinions of you or what you do matter. The rest of them? Let them go. Let them be. Always live life your way, and not the way the rest of the world wants you to live it.
“I will listen 10 times more than I speak.”
Confidence and success doesn’t mean you have the right to be brash and arrogant. Confident and successful people are the ones willing to hear everyone out. Be interested in what other people have to say and what their points of views are, at the end of the day, there are lessons to be learned everywhere.
“I will be OK with less than perfect.”
How many people have failed before they succeeded? The majority of them. It’s okay to not be perfect and its okay to make mistakes. As long as you learn from them. Where you see the need for improvement – make it, but don’t be hard on yourself, just remain true to yourself and your vision.
You can’t accomplish anything until you let go. Do your best, let go, and then trust that you’ll work hard to overcome any shortcomings.
“I will stop and smell my roses.”
Sometimes we get so caught up in achieving all this success that we often forget to stop, look around and appreciate the achievements we have already attained. Never be ashamed to take a moment to really think about what you do have, both professionally and especially personally while striving for all that you still want. Unlike a want, what you have isn’t a hope, a wish, or a dream. What you already have is real. You’ve worked hard for what you’ve created, so be proud of that. Own that. It’s yours.
